More about the charities:
- The PTSD Foundation of America - Camp Hope Houston is a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring U.S. combat veterans with post traumatic stress disorder and their families. Many warriors are coming home with visible wounds; countless others are coming home with scars we cannot see. They are wounded souls who witnessed the horrors of war over and over again and now suffer from PTSD. We feel it is our duty as Americans to help these mighty warriors and their families adjust and find their new normal. (www.ptsdusa.org)
- The Rose is a nonprofit Houston organization that is truly making a difference by reducing deaths from breast cancer. Their mission is to save lives through quality breast health services, advocacy, and access to care for all. The Rose provides mammogram screenings, diagnostics, and treatment services to any person, regardless of their ability to pay. (www.the-rose.org)

- The Houston Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind Texas is a dynamic group of blind students, professionals, and retirees. This nonprofit organization demonstrates through action that blind people can give back to their community. They provide scholarships for education to blind students and purchase braille children's books that are distributed to the blind.(www.nfbtx.org
